While I Lay
While I lay down
I imagine I'm floating in space
and a portal opens where my heart is
a whole from front to back
open to the black vacuum
perfect and round
in it floats my heart
a star flaming with bright pink fire
a living ball of luminescence
light --streams-- out of it
and out of my pores and every orifice
pours rivers of photons into waves of light
light as sharp as lasers
streaming across eons and light-years
to conjoin with the rivers from other stars
a web of infinite detail
hanging Here
suspended
burning
alive
I Rest in a Cage of Glory
